Gastronomical experiences

Turisme Hostalric and Domus-Can Llensa work together to promote Hostalric’s heritage and gastronomy. Alongside our team of local guides, you can go on a guided tour of the castle and/or medieval quarters and learn about the history, nooks and crannies of Hostalric, finishing your visit with a gastronomical tasting experience at Domus-Can Llensa.

We offer you a wide range of gastronomical activities, including cookery workshops, tasting and sampling, and tailored workshops. Check the catalogue.

Tasting and sampling experiences

We offer you the chance to finish your visit with a tasting session in the Domus tasting area. Here you will enjoy excellent views of the Hostalric fortress, the farmlands and medieval quarters. Choose the option that appeals to you most:

  • Hostalric Aperitif: glass of cava and typical sweets from Hostalric.
  • Hostalric Tasting: tasting session with a selection of local cold meats and a glass of wine.
  • Sweet tasting session: tasting session with home-made cakes from the Massinis bakery and a shot of Catalan liqueur.

Cookery workshops

Guided cookery workshops to learn about and appreciate the most distinctive dishes of Catalan gastronomy. At the end, you will be able to sample the dishes that you have made.

  • Arròs a la cassola (rice casserole) workshop: sofrito, fish, meat... everything in the pot to make this rice dish, inspired by the sea and the mountains.

Tailored activities

Cookery workshops tailored to the consumer’s tastes: healthy food, medieval food, molecular gastronomy, tapas workshop, pairing of hand-crafted beers... Ask us and we will adapt to your requirements!
