Go back in time and visit the most important spaces of the fortress (guardhouse, bastions, gunpowder magazine, bomb-proof gallery, etc.) by buying a self-guided entrance ticket and touring the castle yourself.
As you stroll through the open spaces of the fortress you’ll enjoy the magnificent views of the Montseny massif and the Montnegre-Corredor mountain range from the bailey and the natural surroundings of the Hostalric orchard and the La Selva plain from the ravelin!
This self-guided entrance ticket includes the support material for the visit, the audiovisuals and the interactive model, which will help you understand the evolution from medieval castle to modern fortress.
- From 01/01 to 28/02: Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- From 01/03 to 31/03: Saturdays from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Sundays and holidays from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
- From 01/04 to 30/06: Thursdays to Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Saturdays afternoons from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- From 01/07 to 30/09: Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Closed on the afternoons of September 22 and 23 and all day on September 29 and 30.
- From 01/10 to 31/10: Saturdays from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Sundays and holidays from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
- From 01/11 to 31/12: Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Ticket sales close 30 minutes before the closing time.
The castle will be closed on Christmas (25/12), New Year (1/01) and Epiphany (6/01).
Standard price: €5
Reduced price: €4 (children aged 7-18, people with functional diversity, “Carnet Jove” holders and over 65s)
Free admission: children under 6.
Only card payments are accepted according to the Local Government Board Agreement held on April 14, 2025.
