The village is famous for its cold meats and hand-crafted sweets. In the butcher’s shops, you will find traditionally-made cold meats following family traditions that go back years, and in the patisseries and bakeries you will find traditional hand-crafted sweets and desserts. Some of these products carry the quality seal “Hostalric, producte Ric” awarded to products that are made in the village and represent it. You can also appreciate this diversity of local products in Hostalric’s shops and restaurants.
In terms of food, despite being a small village we are fortunate to be able to offer varied, unique options, from the most traditional dishes to creative gastronomy, showcasing our specialisation in seafood and quality fast food.
The facilities of the Domus – Can Llensa (municipal facility) is the space where local companies and businesses collaborate and/or teach cooking workshops and tastings with the aim of spreading local gastronomy and traditions.
This gastronomic offer is joined by events such as the Medieval Fair or the Sant Miquel Fair, where food plays a prominent role.
