The Friars Tower

The Friars Tower is one of the most important medieval constructions in Hostalric. It’s about 33 metres tall and dates from the 13th century

The tower was so named because in front of it stood the Convent of the Minim Friars of Francis of Paola, which is now the town hall. A lift takes you up to the magnificent lookout point at the top of the three-storey tower.

Karol, Hostalric local guide, tells you about one of the sites of the medieval enclosure of Hostalric: the Friar's Tower. Do you want to know about it? Visit us, Karol is waiting to guide you through the medieval grounds of Hostalric!
