Il pouvait contenir jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 onze canons de grand calibre et trois mortiers, \u00e9tant l&rsquo;un des meilleurs artillats du pays \u00e0 son \u00e9poque. Pour le maintenir en service, il avait besoin d&rsquo;environ soixante-dix hommes.<\/p>\n\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, une grande partie du bastion est en ruine, ce qui rend difficile la reconnaissance du b\u00e2timent d&rsquo;origine.<\/p>\n\n<p>De ce point, sont clairement visibles les colonnes de pierre basaltique qui t\u00e9moignent de l&rsquo;origine de l&rsquo;<strong>ancien ch\u00e2teau m\u00e9di\u00e9val des vicomtes de Cabrera<\/strong>, construit sur <strong>un ancien volcan<\/strong>.
