Thanks to its reinforced structure and strategic location within the castle\u2019s defensive system. <\/p>\n\n<p>This type of casemate was part of the network of elements that made <strong>Hostalric Castle<\/strong> a <strong>modern fortress<\/strong> of great strategic value. Its name, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.turismehostalric.cat\/en\/punts-interes\/saw-tooth\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.turismehostalric.cat\/ca\/punts-interes\/dent-de-serra\/\">saw tooth<\/a>, comes from the irregular, stepped shape of the terrain on which it was built. <\/p>\n\n<p>This space also features a cistern, a key element for storing water.
