For two days, <strong>the Fortress of Hostalric<\/strong> will become a <strong>real Napoleonic camp from 1810<\/strong>, with soldiers, scenes of daily life, and a grand battle in the castle moat. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Historical context<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The year is <strong>1810<\/strong>. The fortress of Hostalric is under siege by French troops. General Duhesme, after nine days of bombardments, is preparing to strike the final blow and conquer the stronghold. In this critical situation, <strong>Coronel Estrada<\/strong> is preparing to save the remaining troops inside the fortress.   <\/p>\n\n<p>He has a risky plan: <strong>to lead around 700 men out<\/strong> and reach Vic <strong>without being discovered<\/strong>. To succeed, he will rely on the help of about <strong>a hundred wounded soldiers and &#8220;miquelets&#8221;<\/strong>, who <strong>will try to hold off the French as long as possible<\/strong> to buy time. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\" style=\"letter-spacing:0px\"><strong>Visit the Napoleonic camp<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>With your ticket <strong>you will have access to the historical reenactment camp<\/strong> set up in the Fortress of Hostalric and <strong>explore it at your own pace<\/strong>. During your visit, you\u2019ll be able to <strong>interact with the soldiers<\/strong> and <strong>experience their daily life firt-hand<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Soldiers&#8217; <strong>clothing<\/strong> and <strong>equipment<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Military training and drills<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Daily life<\/strong>, such as cooking under siege or leisure activities of the time. You can even share a drink with the troops at the camp tavern (drink not included in the ticket price). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Guided visit to the new fortress rooms recreating the military lifestyle during the Napoleonic era.<\/strong> Limited capacity.
