In winter the snow covers the highest peaks and some of its small lakes and ponds freeze. In Hostalric the cold winter colors and landscapes predominate, light blue, dark blue, lilac and pink in the middle of a sea of mist.

Hostalric has 4 privileged viewpoints to enjoy the landscape: Friar's Tower and Ararà Tower (access with the visit with the key), the Bous Square and the Hostalric Fortress.

Surrounded by gently sloping mountains and magnificent views over the Tordera Valley, Montseny and Montnegre, you will enjoy an extraordinary environment for walking and cycling excursions, following signposted routes such as La Tourdera trail or local routes that go right round the castle (La Volta al Castell) and the medieval farmlands (Parc de les Rieres trail).
