On the north-west edge of Selva you’ll find Collsacabra and the towering cliffs of El Far, from where you can enjoy amazing panoramic vistas.
The 11th-century Sanctuary of Mare de Déu del Far is located at an elevation of 1,123 metres. It affords superb views of the Susqueda Reservoir, the Tavertet Cliffs, the Guilleries Massif and the Montseny Massif. The town of Sant Martí Sacalm lies at its foot. On very clear days you can see most of the Pyrenees, the city of Girona and even the Medes Islands. And if you take some binoculars you can make out Montserrat and even Puig Major, the highest peak in Mallorca.
The sanctuary has accommodation, a restaurant and a picnic area.
